Ritual Procedure for Śrāddha: Sequence, Eligibility, and Offerings to Ancestors

विश्वेदेवाः सपितरस्तथा मातामहाः द्विज । कुलं चाप्यायते पुंसां सर्वं श्राद्धं प्रकुर्वताम् ॥ १४.४६ ॥

viśvedevāḥ sapitaras tathā mātāmahā dvija | kulaṃ cāpyāyate puṃsāṃ sarvaṃ śrāddhaṃ prakurvatām || 14.46 ||

Wahai yang dua kali lahir, dengan melaksanakan śrāddha para Viśvedevas, para Pitṛ, dan para mātāmaha menjadi puas. Dan bagi para pria yang menunaikan seluruh śrāddha dengan benar, segenap garis keturunannya pun terpelihara dan berkembang.
