ततश्चतुर्द्दशे देवि तपसा नियमेन च । तुष्टेनोक्तो मया देवि वरं वरय सुव्रत
tataścaturddaśe devi tapasā niyamena ca | tuṣṭenokto mayā devi varaṃ varaya suvrata
Kemudian, wahai Devī, pada tahun keempat belas—karena berkenan oleh tapa dan pengendalian dirinya—aku berkata kepadanya: “Wahai yang berbrata luhur, pilihlah suatu anugerah.”
