Transliteration

ekārṇavaṃ jagadidaṃ brahmāpaśyadaśeṣataḥ | tasminvasumatī magnā pātālatalamāgatā

Translation

Brahmā memandang seluruh jagat ini sepenuhnya sebagai satu samudra (ekārṇava). Dalam banjir pralaya itu, Bumi—Vasumatī—tenggelam dan mencapai lapisan-lapisan Pātāla.
