शृणुध्वं वचनं देवा ब्रह्मविष्णुपुरोगमाः । ऋषिशापान्निपतितं मम लिंगमनुत्तमम् । तस्माल्लिंगं पूजयत सर्व कामार्थसिद्धये
śṛṇudhvaṃ vacanaṃ devā brahmaviṣṇupurogamāḥ | ṛṣiśāpānnipatitaṃ mama liṃgamanuttamam | tasmālliṃgaṃ pūjayata sarva kāmārthasiddhaye
“Dengarkan sabdaku, wahai para dewa, yang dipimpin oleh Brahmā dan Viṣṇu. Karena kutukan seorang ṛṣi, liṅgaku yang tiada banding telah jatuh di sini. Maka sembahlah liṅga itu, agar segala tujuan yang diinginkan serta kemakmuran yang benar tercapai.”

Devotion expressed as liṅga-pūjā is presented as a direct means to dharmic success and the fulfillment of worthy aims.
