ईश्वर उवाच । तस्यैव पश्चिमे भागे नातिदूरे व्यवस्थितम् । चण्डिका कर्ममोटी च योगिनी कोटिसंयुता । पीठत्रयं महादेवि आद्यं त्रैलोक्यवन्दितम्
īśvara uvāca | tasyaiva paścime bhāge nātidūre vyavasthitam | caṇḍikā karmamoṭī ca yoginī koṭisaṃyutā | pīṭhatrayaṃ mahādevi ādyaṃ trailokyavanditam
Īśvara bersabda: Di bagian baratnya, tidak jauh, terdapat sebuah pīṭha suci—Caṇḍikā dan Karmamoṭī, beserta seorang Yoginī yang disertai kekuatan berjumlah krore. Wahai Mahādevī, ini adalah tiga pīṭha; yang pertama dipuja di tiga dunia.
