कालहीनं न कर्तव्यं कृतं न फलदं भवेत् । वेदेष्वयमधीकारो दृष्टः सर्वो मनीषिभिः

Transliteration

kālahīnaṃ na kartavyaṃ kṛtaṃ na phaladaṃ bhavet | vedeṣvayamadhīkāro dṛṣṭaḥ sarvo manīṣibhiḥ

Translation

Upacara tidak boleh dilakukan di luar waktunya; bila dilakukan tidak pada waktunya, ia tidak menghasilkan buah. Ketentuan tentang kelayakan dan penetapan waktu ini tampak di seluruh Weda, sebagaimana diakui para resi bijaksana.
