इति दत्ते तदा शाप ऋषीणां च महात्मनाम् । गौरीं प्रसादयामासुस्ते च सर्वे सुरेश्वराः
iti datte tadā śāpa ṛṣīṇāṃ ca mahātmanām | gaurīṃ prasādayāmāsuste ca sarve sureśvarāḥ
Ketika kutukan itu demikian dijatuhkan atas para ṛṣi yang berhati luhur, semua sura-īśvara (para penguasa di antara para dewa) pun berusaha menenangkan dan memohon keridaan Gaurī.
