इत्थं विवस्वतः सा तु बहुशः पृच्छतोऽन्यथा । न वाचा भाषते क्रुद्धः शापं दातुं समुद्यतः
itthaṃ vivasvataḥ sā tu bahuśaḥ pṛcchato'nyathā | na vācā bhāṣate kruddhaḥ śāpaṃ dātuṃ samudyataḥ
Demikian Vivasvān berulang kali menanyainya dengan berbagai cara, namun ia tidak menjawab dengan kata-kata. Ia pun murka dan bangkit hendak menjatuhkan kutuk.
