शृण्वेतत्कारणं शंभो एते प्राप्तास्तवांतिकम् । युगत्रये व्यतिक्रांते कृतादिद्वापरांतके
śṛṇvetatkāraṇaṃ śaṃbho ete prāptāstavāṃtikam | yugatraye vyatikrāṃte kṛtādidvāparāṃtake
“Dengarkanlah sebabnya, wahai Śaṃbhu, mengapa kami datang ke hadirat-Mu. Ketika tiga yuga telah berlalu—bermula dari Kṛta hingga berakhir pada Dvāpara—”
