Transliteration

mṛkaṃḍopi sutaṃ jñātvā tataḥ kṣīṇāyuṣaṃ nṛpa | paṃcavārṣikamapyārttaścakāropanayānvitam

Translation

Wahai raja, Mṛkaṇḍa pun menyadari bahwa usia putranya saat itu amat singkat; maka dengan cemas ia melaksanakan upanayana, meski sang anak baru berusia lima tahun.
