ततःप्रभृति लिंगस्य मर्त्त्ये पूजा व्यजायत । पुरासीच्छंकरः पूज्यो यथान्ये त्रिदशालयाः
tataḥprabhṛti liṃgasya marttye pūjā vyajāyata | purāsīcchaṃkaraḥ pūjyo yathānye tridaśālayāḥ
Sejak saat itu, pemujaan kepada Liṅga pun muncul di kalangan manusia. Dahulu, Śaṅkara dipuja sebagaimana dewa-dewa lain dipuja di kediaman surgawi mereka.
