पुलस्त्य उवाच । तस्मिन्नेकार्णवे घोरे नष्टे स्थावरजंगमे । चंद्रार्कपवने नष्टे ज्योतिषि प्रलयं गते
pulastya uvāca | tasminnekārṇave ghore naṣṭe sthāvarajaṃgame | caṃdrārkapavane naṣṭe jyotiṣi pralayaṃ gate
Pulastya berkata: “Ketika samudra tunggal yang dahsyat, lautan pralaya, meliputi segalanya—ketika semua makhluk yang diam dan bergerak telah binasa; ketika bulan, matahari, dan angin pun lenyap; ketika bahkan para cahaya langit masuk ke dalam pralaya—”
