Skanda Purana — Prabhasa Khanda, Shloka 75

अस्माकं प्रतिवाचं च शृणु शोकविनाशिनीम् । यथा हि पथिकः कश्चिच्छायार्थी वृक्षमास्थितः । विश्रान्तश्च पुनर्याति तद्वद्भूतसमागमः

asmākaṃ prativācaṃ ca śṛṇu śokavināśinīm | yathā hi pathikaḥ kaścicchāyārthī vṛkṣamāsthitaḥ | viśrāntaśca punaryāti tadvadbhūtasamāgamaḥ

Dengarkan pula jawaban kami yang melenyapkan duka: sebagaimana seorang musafir mencari teduh, singgah di bawah pohon, lalu setelah beristirahat ia melanjutkan perjalanan—demikian pula perjumpaan makhluk-makhluk hanyalah sementara.
