Pulastya (contextual)
Tirtha: Rūpatīrtha
Type: kund
Listener: Yayāti
Scene: A pilgrim is sprinkled with tirtha-water; dark, smoky forms of bhūta-preta-piśāca recoil and vanish; the water glows, and a ledger-like symbolism of ‘duṣkṛta’ dissolves into light.
Contact with tīrtha-jala is framed as immediate purification—removing both unseen afflictions and moral stain (duṣkṛta).
Rūpatīrtha (Arbuda Khaṇḍa, Prabhāsa Khaṇḍa), whose water is said to dispel spirit-afflictions and sin.
Being touched by the tīrtha-water (sprinkling/ablution/contact) is implied as a purificatory practice.
