The ascetic (tāpasa)
Type: kshetra
Listener: Śakrāṇī (Indrāṇī)
Scene: The speaker declares fearless refuge in Pārvatī; behind him, an implied aura of the Mother’s protection forms a shield, while gods and asuras appear powerless in the background tableau.
Śaraṇāgati (taking refuge) in the Supreme Divine—here Pārvatī—is portrayed as the highest protection beyond worldly power.
The verse highlights refuge in Pārvatī rather than naming a geographic tīrtha; it remains within the chapter’s tīrtha-māhātmya narration.
No explicit ritual; the spiritual act emphasized is śaraṇāgati (seeking refuge).
