विश्वामित्र उवाच । सावित्रं पद्ममेवैतद्यत्स्पृष्टं भूपते त्वया । उच्छिष्टेन रविर्मध्ये स्वयं यस्य व्यवस्थितः
viśvāmitra uvāca | sāvitraṃ padmamevaitadyatspṛṣṭaṃ bhūpate tvayā | ucchiṣṭena ravirmadhye svayaṃ yasya vyavasthitaḥ
Viśvāmitra berkata: “Wahai raja, yang engkau sentuh itu sungguh teratai Sāvitra. Di tengahnya, pada saat tengah hari, Surya-dewa sendiri bersemayam; namun engkau menyentuhnya dalam keadaan ucciṣṭa (belum suci setelah makan).”
