“Wahai raja, bagiku tiada sesuatu pun yang tak dapat dicapai, tiada pula yang mustahil. Maka akan kutunaikan kewajiban ritus yang engkau perlukan, walau sukar diperoleh.”
The brāhmaṇa (Devaśarman, by immediate narrative continuity)
Type: kshetra
Listener: King Viṣṇusena
Scene: The brāhmaṇa speaks with calm authority, promising to perform the king’s requested rite though rare; the king listens with hope; ritual implements (kuśa, kamaṇḍalu, ladle) appear subtly.
Priestly duty includes enabling righteous rites for others—especially acts meant for ancestral uplift—without fear of difficulty.
Nāgahrada, presented as a potent setting where ritual action can bear liberating fruit.
Undertaking the required rite (kṛtya), which in this episode is the performance of śrāddha at the tīrtha.
