दितिरुवाच । तवोच्छेदाय देवेश याचितः प्राङ्मया हरः । एकं देव सुतं देहि सर्वदेवनिबर्हणम्
ditiruvāca | tavocchedāya deveśa yācitaḥ prāṅmayā haraḥ | ekaṃ deva sutaṃ dehi sarvadevanibarhaṇam
Diti berkata: “Wahai Īśa, Tuhan para dewa, dahulu aku memohon kepada Hara (Śiva) agar engkau dibinasakan. Wahai Dewa, anugerahkanlah kepadaku seorang putra saja, yang mampu menundukkan semua dewa.”
