Śrī Bhagavān (Lord—contextually Śiva/Maheśvara in Gaṇapati-pūjā discourse)
Type: kshetra
Listener: Mahābhāga (addressed devotee; in context, Viśvāmitra)
Scene: Bhagavān instructs a devotee: the Lord seated in a teaching posture, pointing to the lunar day (Caturthī) while a small Gaṇeśa icon and pūjā tray (modaka, durvā, lamps) appear in the foreground.
Proper observance and devotion—especially on Caturthī through Vināyaka worship—leads to the fulfillment of righteous desires.
The verse occurs within the Hāṭakeśvara-kṣetra-māhātmya of the Nāgarakhaṇḍa, framing Gaṇapati worship within that sacred-geography narrative.
Observe Caturthī and perform Vināyaka (Gaṇeśa) pūjā properly to obtain the intended fruit.
