श्रीभगवानुवाच । एष गौर्या पुरा कृत्वा निजांगोद्वर्तनं कृतः । निर्मलेन कृतः पश्चान्नराकारश्चतुर्भुजः
śrībhagavānuvāca | eṣa gauryā purā kṛtvā nijāṃgodvartanaṃ kṛtaḥ | nirmalena kṛtaḥ paścānnarākāraścaturbhujaḥ
Bhagavān bersabda: “Dahulu kala, Dewi Gaurī, setelah membuat lulur dari gosokan anggota tubuhnya sendiri, membentuk dia. Kemudian dari bahan yang suci itu ia terwujud—berwujud manusia dan berlengan empat.”
