Type: kshetra
Scene: A descendant journeys to Gayā and performs śrāddha; the departed attain liberation through that act.
Pilgrimage plus rite: performing śrāddha at a supreme tīrtha like Gayā is taught as a direct instrument for the departed’s liberation.
Gayā is explicitly identified as the liberation-giving tīrtha for śrāddha.
A descendant should travel to Gayā and perform śrāddha there according to the prescribed method to secure mokṣa for the departed.
