prathamā bahvṛcasyārthe yājuṣasya tathā'parā | sāmagasya tathaivānyā tathā'dyasya caturthikā

Pelantar pertama adalah bagi imam Bahvṛca (Ṛgveda); yang berikutnya bagi imam Yājuṣa (Yajurveda); satu lagi bagi imam Sāmaga (Sāmaveda); dan yang keempat bagi imam Atharvan (Atharvaveda).
