Scene: A householder preparing for śrāddha: one figure unbathed with oil sheen, another in clean white cloth after bathing; the priest indicates the need for snāna and clean garments before approaching the altar.
Outer cleanliness supports inner reverence; śrāddha is to be done in a state of śauca (ritual purity).
No named tīrtha; the verse gives general śrāddha discipline within pilgrimage literature.
Bathe, wear clean (washed) garments, and avoid performing śrāddha in an oily, massaged state.
