Skanda Purana — Nagara Khanda, Shloka 39
एषोऽह शरणं प्राप्तो युष्माकं द्विजसत्तमाः । अनुगृह्णीत मां सर्वे दीक्षायै यज्ञकर्मणः
eṣo'ha śaraṇaṃ prāpto yuṣmākaṃ dvijasattamāḥ | anugṛhṇīta māṃ sarve dīkṣāyai yajñakarmaṇaḥ
“Wahai para dvija yang utama, aku datang berlindung pada kalian. Berkenanlah kalian semua menganugerahi aku, agar aku memperoleh dīkṣā untuk pelaksanaan karya yajña ini.”
