समः शत्रौ च मित्रे च समलोष्टाश्मकांचनः । समो मानापमानेषु न प्रेतो जायते नरः
samaḥ śatrau ca mitre ca samaloṣṭāśmakāṃcanaḥ | samo mānāpamāneṣu na preto jāyate naraḥ
Dia yang tetap tenang terhadap musuh maupun teman, yang memandang tanah, batu, dan emas sebagai hal yang sama, dan seimbang dalam kehormatan maupun kehinaan—orang seperti itu tidak terlahir sebagai preta.
