षंढ उवाच । न वृत्तिर्गर्हिता तेन नाहं व्यंतरपीडितः । मणिभद्रो न चैष स्यादेष वेषकरः पुमान्
ṣaṃḍha uvāca | na vṛttirgarhitā tena nāhaṃ vyaṃtarapīḍitaḥ | maṇibhadro na caiṣa syādeṣa veṣakaraḥ pumān
Ṣaṇḍha berkata: “Pekerjaan itu tidak tercela, dan aku tidak diganggu vyantara. Orang ini pun bukan Maṇibhadra; ia hanyalah penyamar, lelaki yang mengenakan samaran.”
