Type: kshetra
Listener: Śaunaka and other ṛṣis / or a brāhmaṇa interlocutor (implied by viprendra address in next verse)
Scene: A prosperous royal couple blessed with descendants; the queen’s posture and ornaments subtly signal pride, while nāga-king’s Rāma-like guise hints at divine disguise and impending reversal.
Prosperity and lineage are blessings, but pride born of fortune is a spiritual danger that precedes downfall or correction.
No tīrtha is named in this verse; it advances the moral-legendary thread within the Tīrthamāhātmya.
No explicit prescription; marriage is referenced as the narrative event.
