रेवत्युवाच । अहं शप्ता पुरा देवि ब्राह्मण्या कारणांतरे । यत्त्वं मानुषमासाद्य स्वयं भूत्वा च मानुषी
revatyuvāca | ahaṃ śaptā purā devi brāhmaṇyā kāraṇāṃtare | yattvaṃ mānuṣamāsādya svayaṃ bhūtvā ca mānuṣī
Revatī berkata: “Wahai Dewi, dahulu kala aku pernah dikutuk oleh seorang wanita brāhmaṇa karena suatu sebab lain—bahwa Engkau akan mencapai keadaan manusia, menjadi manusia dengan kehendak-Mu sendiri.”
