tavāpi yogyatāṃ śreṣṭhāṃ kariṣyāmi mahāmate | yadi me vartase vākye muktvā sparddhāṃ dvijodbhavām
Tirtha: Same refuge-kṣetra (contextual)
Type: kshetra
Scene: Śiva offers a boon-like assurance while simultaneously admonishing; Citraśarman’s posture shifts from confident to humbled—head bowed, hands folded—signaling the inner turning from rivalry to obedience.
Spiritual authority is perfected through humility and obedience to dharma, not through pride or rivalry.
The verse is ethical instruction within the kṣetra narrative; it does not name a particular tīrtha.
No ritual act is prescribed; the ‘practice’ here is moral discipline—renouncing spardhā and following Śiva’s instruction.
