वाक्यज्ञेयेषु भिन्नेषु यत्राभेदः प्रदृश्यते । तत्रातिशयहेतुत्वं तत्सौक्ष्म्यमिति निर्दिशेत्
vākyajñeyeṣu bhinneṣu yatrābhedaḥ pradṛśyate | tatrātiśayahetutvaṃ tatsaukṣmyamiti nirdiśet
Ketika makna-makna yang harus dipahami dari suatu pernyataan berbeda-beda, namun di sana tampak kesatuan yang tak terpisah, maka kemampuan menyingkap kaitan yang melahirkan keunggulan itu disebut ‘saukṣmya’ (kesubtilan).
