Orang yang arif hendaknya bersuci dengan tanah yang diambil (digali) dan air—terutama bila kenajisan timbul karena air di dalam rumah, dari kawasan kuil (devakula), dari sarang semut (valmīka), atau dari tempat yang sering didatangi tikus.
