Skanda Purana — Mahesvara Khanda, Shloka 36
पुनरेतत्कृतं चापि संवर्तो मन्यते यथा । अहं सन्मानितश्चेति वह्निं प्राप्याप्यगामहम्
punaretatkṛtaṃ cāpi saṃvarto manyate yathā | ahaṃ sanmānitaśceti vahniṃ prāpyāpyagāmaham
Dan lagi, sebagaimana Saṃvarta menyangka perbuatan itu dilakukan olehnya, aku pun—merasa, ‘aku telah dihormati sebagaimana mestinya’—tetap melangkah maju, meski telah sampai pada api itu.
