Type: kshetra
Scene: Night sky over Kāśī: an impossible eclipse-like darkening around a sun-disc, and two faint rainbows arcing in moonlit clouds; below, ghats and temples with anxious crowds looking upward.
Cosmic irregularities are read as warnings; rulers and communities should correct course through dharma and restraint.
The setting is within the Kāśī-khaṇḍa tradition, but this verse focuses on utpāta (portents) rather than a particular tīrtha.
No explicit ritual is prescribed here; it identifies inauspicious astral signs.
