Skanda Purana — Kashi Khanda, Shloka 16

विपद्यपि हि ते धन्या न ये दैन्यप्रणोदिताः । धनैर्मलिनचित्तानामालभंतेंगणं क्वचित्

vipadyapi hi te dhanyā na ye dainyapraṇoditāḥ | dhanairmalinacittānāmālabhaṃteṃgaṇaṃ kvacit

Sungguh berbahagia mereka yang, meski tertimpa malapetaka, tidak terdorong ke dalam kehinaan. Namun orang yang batinnya ternoda oleh harta, kadang memperoleh tempat berpijak di halaman hanya karena kekayaan semata.
