Skanda (deduced for Kāśīkhaṇḍa context)
Tirtha: Gaṅgā-ghāṭa tarpana in Kāśī
Type: ghat
Scene: On the river steps, a twice-born holds the sacred thread over the left shoulder and offers water with cupped hands; six small Vināyaka forms appear symbolically, with Brahmā and other devas above, and ṛṣis like Marīci seated in subtle vision.
Gratitude and cosmic order are upheld by honoring divine and sage lineages through prescribed offerings.
The practice is taught within Kāśī Khaṇḍa’s dharma framework; the verse itself does not name a particular ghat or tīrtha.
Perform tarpana in savyopavīta to six Vināyakas, then to the devas (from Brahmā) and ṛṣis (from Marīci).
