धनैरनंधो यत्रास्ति मनो नैव च भोजनम् । अनयः स्यंदनं यत्र न च वै राजपूरुषः
dhanairanaṃdho yatrāsti mano naiva ca bhojanam | anayaḥ syaṃdanaṃ yatra na ca vai rājapūruṣaḥ
Di mana harta membuat orang dianggap ‘tidak buta’—yakni segala perkara ditimbang oleh uang; di mana batin tak menemukan kepuasan sejati bahkan dalam makanan; di mana ketidakadilan menjadi kereta yang menghela hidup, dan tiada penguasa kerajaan yang saleh—negeri itu dikenali sebagai tanpa dharma.
