अवेदविदुषे नैव ब्राह्मणे सर्वविक्रये । मित्रघ्ने च कृतघ्ने च मन्त्रहीने तथैव च
avedaviduṣe naiva brāhmaṇe sarvavikraye | mitraghne ca kṛtaghne ca mantrahīne tathaiva ca
Jangan sekali-kali memberikan dana kepada brāhmaṇa yang tidak mengetahui Veda, dan jangan pula kepada orang yang menjual segala sesuatu demi keuntungan. Jangan berikan kepada pembunuh sahabat, kepada yang tidak tahu berterima kasih, dan kepada yang tanpa mantra—tidak layak untuk japa dan ritus Weda.
