कन्योवाच । इच्छेयं यत्र काले हि तत्र देया त्वया पितुः । पुत्रीवाक्यादसौ राजा विस्मितो वाक्यमब्रवीत्
kanyovāca | iccheyaṃ yatra kāle hi tatra deyā tvayā pituḥ | putrīvākyādasau rājā vismito vākyamabravīt
Sang gadis berkata: “Ayah, pada waktu yang kupilih, pada saat itulah engkau harus menyerahkanku untuk pernikahan.” Mendengar ucapan putrinya, sang raja terperanjat lalu menjawab.
