tatra tīrthe tu yaḥ snātvā kurute prāṇasaṃkṣayam | barhiyuktena yānena sa gacchecchivamandire
Di tīrtha itu, siapa yang mandi lalu menyerahkan nyawanya di sana, ia menuju kediaman Śiva, diantar dengan kendaraan yang dihiasi rumput barhis yang suci.

Scene: A pilgrim completes Narmadā snāna at Gopeśvara and, at life’s end, is received by a radiant celestial vimāna decorated with barhis-grass, ascending toward Śiva’s luminous mandira.
The Purāṇa depicts certain tīrthas as gateways to Śiva’s realm, emphasizing the extraordinary sanctity attributed to place and vow.
