Tirtha: Śiva-liṅga kṣetra within Revā-khaṇḍa
Type: kshetra
Listener: Bhārata
Scene: Maheśvara appears upon seeing the devotee fallen; he raises a hand in abhaya-mudrā, declares ‘Do not fear,’ and releases a thunderous huṅkāra that halts all threat.
The Lord personally removes fear for the surrendered devotee; divine assurance (“mā bhaiḥ”) is central to bhakti-dharma.
The place of Śiva’s intervention becomes the basis for the later famed Kohanasve Tīrtha.
No formal rite; the verse highlights Śiva’s protective power and the potency of his huṅkāra.
