Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Sthala Purana: General pūjā-vidhi: offering (dāna/upacāra) accompanied by gīta-vādya and completion of mantra-japa to a full count (pūrṇāhuti logic applied to japa).
Significance: Establishes a ‘complete practice’ (pūrṇatā) through 100,000 japa—traditionally treated as a full puraścaraṇa-like benchmark for mantra-siddhi and Śiva’s prasāda.
Type: panchakshara
Offering: naivedya
It teaches that complete Shaiva worship unites outward reverent offerings and inward discipline—devotional upacharas supported by the purifying power of sustained mantra-japa, which ripens devotion and steadies the soul toward Shiva’s grace.
The verse supports Saguna worship by encouraging visible, auspicious offerings and celebratory devotion (song and instruments) while grounding the ritual in the root-mantra, which inwardly connects the worshipper to Shiva present in the Linga.
Perform mūla-mantra japa to a full count of one lakh (100,000), ideally alongside formal pūjā with offerings and devotional singing/music as supportive acts of bhakti.
