The verse portrays a divine force rushing into battle with irresistible momentum, symbolizing how Shiva’s order (dharma) is upheld through Shakti—power that removes obstruction and restores right balance in the cosmos.
In Saguna worship, Shiva is honored along with His manifest powers that act in the world. This battle imagery supports the devotional understanding that the Lord’s presence is not passive—His grace operates through divine energies to protect devotees and re-establish dharma.
A practical takeaway is to steady the mind with japa of the Pañcākṣarī mantra (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) while contemplating Shiva as Pati and His Shakti as the force that cuts through inner obstacles (fear, anger, delusion), like a vajra dispelling resistance.
