Sukta 8.18

Devata: Dyāvā-Kṣāmā (Heaven and Earth) with invoked shelters of mountains and waters

आ शर्म पर्वतानामोतापां वृणीमहे । द्यावाक्षामारे अस्मद्रपस्कृतम् ॥

ā́ śárma párvatānām ótā́pāṃ vṛṇīmahe | dyāvākṣāmā ā́re asmád rápaḥ kṛtám ||

Kami memilih kedamaian gunung-gunung dan juga kedamaian perairan. Wahai Langit dan Bumi, jauhkanlah dari kami derita yang ditempa, luka yang mengikis.
