Sukta 7.56
सं यद्धनन्त मन्युभिर्जनासः शूरा यह्वीष्वोषधीषु विक्षु । अध स्मा नो मरुतो रुद्रियासस्त्रातारो भूत पृतनास्वर्यः ॥
sáṃ yád dhánanta manyúbhir jánāsaḥ śūrā́ yahvī́ṣv óṣadhīṣu vikṣú | ádha smā no maruto rudriyāsas trā́tāro bhūta pṛ́tanāsv aryáḥ ||
Ketika manusia, digerakkan oleh amarah, saling menghantam bersama—para pahlawan di tengah arus yang kuat, di antara tumbuh-tumbuhan obat dan kaum-kaum—maka, wahai Marut, yang lahir dari Rudra, jadilah pelindung kami dalam pertempuran, wahai yang mulia.
