एवेदिन्द्रः सुहव ऋष्वो अस्तूती अनूती हिरिशिप्रः सत्वा । एवा हि जातो असमात्योजाः पुरू च वृत्रा हनति नि दस्यून् ॥

evéd índraḥ suháva ṛ́ṣvo astū́tī anū́tī hiriśipráḥ sátvā | evā́ hí jā́to asamāti-ojā́ḥ purū́ ca vṛtrā́ hanati ní dasyū́n ||

Demikianlah, semoga Indra sungguh menjadi yang mudah diseru, yang luhur—pertolongan kami dan pertolongan yang berulang—dia yang berjanggut keemasan, sang makhluk perkasa. Sebab demikianlah, terlahir dengan daya yang tak tertaklukkan, ia menumbangkan banyak Vṛtra dan merendahkan para Dasyu.
