अभि तष्टेव दीधया मनीषामत्यो न वाजी सुधुरो जिहानः । अभि प्रियाणि मर्मृशत्पराणि कवीँरिच्छामि संदृशे सुमेधाः ॥

Transliteration

abhí taṣṭéva dīdhayā manīṣām atyo ná vājī su-dhúro jihā́naḥ | abhí priyā́ṇi marmṛ́śat párāṇi kavī́ṁr icchāmi saṁdṛ́śe su-medhā́ḥ ||

Translation

Dengan visi yang membentuk, laksana perajin yang memahat, kutegakkan dan kugerakkan manīṣā (pikiran-wawasan)ku—bagai kuda cepat peraih hadiah, terpasang kuk yang baik, rindu menerjang. Menyentuh dan membangunkan yang terkasih—nafas-nafas hidup yang tersembunyi—aku, yang berakal baik, mencari para kavi (resi-penyair) demi penglihatan batin.
