Sukta 10.62

Rishi: Aṅgiras-tradition seers (hymn-context)
Devata: Indra (with Aṅgiras helpers); also the assisting ‘Aṣṭa-karṇyaḥ’ figure
Chandas: Triṣṭubh (probable)

इन्द्रेण युजा निः सृजन्त वाघतो व्रजं गोमन्तमश्विनम् । सहस्रं मे ददतो अष्टकर्ण्यः श्रवो देवेष्वक्रत ॥

índreṇa yujā́ níḥ sr̥janta vāgháto vrajáṃ gómantam aśvínam | sahásraṃ me dádato aṣṭa-karṇyáḥ śrávo devéṣv akrata ||

Dengan Indra sebagai kuk, para pelantun melepaskan ke luar kandang yang kaya sinar dan tenaga yang tangkas. Menganugerahkan kepadaku yang seribu-lipat, para “Delapan-telinga” membentuk bagiku kemasyhuran pendengaran di antara para dewa.
