अभि गोत्राणि सहसा गाहमानोऽदयो वीरः शतमन्युरिन्द्रः । दुश्च्यवनः पृतनाषाळयुध्योऽस्माकं सेना अवतु प्र युत्सु ॥

abhí gotrā́ṇi sáhasā gā́hamāno ’dayo vī́raḥ śatámanyur índraḥ | duścyavanáḥ pṛtanāṣā́ḷ ayudhyò ’smā́kaṃ sénā avatu prá yútsu ||

Menyerbu kandang-kandang (gotra) dengan kekuatan, sang pahlawan tanpa belas kasihan—Indra, yang beramarah dan bertenaga seratus daya; sukar digoyahkan, penakluk pertempuran, tak terkalahkan—semoga Ia melindungi bala tentara kami dalam benturan maju di medan laga.
