युद्धकाण्डे पञ्चनवतितमः सर्गः
Sarga 95: Lamentation in Laṅkā and the Causal Chain of Enmity
कुम्भकर्णंहतंश्रुत्वाराघवेणमहाबलम् ।अतिकायं च दुर्मर्षंलक्ष्मणेनहतंतदा ।।।।प्रियंचेन्द्रजितंपुत्रंरावणोनावबुध्यते ।
kumbhakarṇaṃ hataṃ śrutvā rāghaveṇa mahābalam |
atikāyaṃ ca durmarṣaṃ lakṣmaṇena hataṃ tadā ||6.95.21||
priyaṃ cendrajitaṃ putraṃ rāvaṇo nāvabudhyate |
Walau telah mendengar bahwa Kumbhakarṇa yang maha perkasa dibunuh oleh Rāghava, dan bahwa Atikāya yang sukar ditandingi saat itu ditewaskan oleh Lakṣmaṇa, serta putranya yang tercinta Indrajit pun gugur—Rāvaṇa tetap tidak sadar dan tidak insaf.
"Kumbhakarna of extraordinary strength having been killed by Raghava, and even on hearing that Atikaya who is difficult to disregard, and Indrajith, dear son killed by Lakshmana also, Ravana has not realised."
