Sarga 93: Rāvaṇa’s Grief and Fury after Indrajit’s Fall; Move to Slay Vaidehī and Ministerial Restraint
शूरंशूरेणसम्गम्यसम्युगेष्वपराजितः ।लक्ष्मणेनहतश्शूरःपुत्रस्तेमहेन्द्रजित् ।।।।गतस्सपरमान्लोकान्शरैस्सन्ताप्यलक्ष्मणम् ।
śūraṁ śūreṇa saṅgamya saṁyugeṣv aparājitaḥ |
lakṣmaṇena hataḥ śūraḥ putras te mahendrajit |
gataḥ sa paramāṁl lokān śaraiḥ santāpya lakṣmaṇam ||
Di medan laga, pahlawan bertemu pahlawan; putramu yang gagah, Mahendrajit—yang tak pernah terkalahkan dalam perang—telah gugur oleh tangan Lakṣmaṇa. Setelah melukai Lakṣmaṇa dengan panah-panahnya, ia berangkat menuju loka-loka tertinggi.
'Let that supreme bow and the great arrows bestowed to me, by Brahma the creator who was pleased, when I fought in battle between Devas and Asuras, be brought to destroy Rama and Lakshmana today accompanied by hundreds of trumpets.'
